The doming head for chambered flow is based on Army Corps Of Engineers Data (Chart E-1, EM 1110-2-3105 - 3/30/94) for open tube losses. Calculated values are approximate and can be used as guidance. The Equation itself is an approximation since at zero flow there is still a doming head loss present. Results are valid for diameters of 28 to 64 inches and chamber widths of 1.5 to 3 times discharge diameter. For details see picture file at top.

For open flow use KSB method.
